About Jim Mills, Principal

Jim Mills has more than 25 years of sales, marketing, and international communications management experience. Following his career as a professional skier, manufacturer’s representative and account executive in the snow-sports industry, Mills developed a vast network of relationships throughout business communications and the media. As Regional Manager for Business Wire/Denver in the early 1990’s, Mills drove significant growth in the Denver market, and his territory, which included St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo. He established Business Wire’s 17th office in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, in the fall of 1993, calling on such companies as Honeywell, 3M, Cargill, Pillsbury, Medtronic and Northwest Airlines.

With a solid book of corporate clients, Mills created J.F. Mills & Company in 1995 to utilize his experience, and effectively address client interaction with both business and financial media. The idea was to maintain excellent relationships with many of the same companies that he generated success with at Business Wire. In 1999, J.F. Mills/Worldwide was formed to focus on the specific needs of the emerging growth sector, as clients expand their business objectives to include global operations. Most recently, J.F. Mills Worldwide has focused on establishing international brand awareness and industry recognition for companies poised for significant growth.
